Skirt in a Day Workshop

The results from the recent 'Skirt in a day' workshop that I ran at the Folk House, Bristol. Some really great results, most people had hardly sewn before, one person never before, but still went home with a finished skirt! I particularly like the one with the curved bottom.
Next class at my studio 12th March, contact me for details julie@julieroberts.co.uk

MERL photography workshop

During the summer holidays I ran a panoramic photography workshop for young people in Reading based on an exhibition of panorama images of Reading. We explored the grounds close to the museum and here are just a very small selection of the results...

There will be a similar workshop in October half term, along with a fun drawing workshop for little ones

Felt making Workshop

So last one in the big stint at the Folk house summer school, felt making. It was quite interesting as most of the group had taken the day off work to come along. I taught a lot of different basic techniques and they all came away with a good range of pieces, most with the intention of working into pieces, or cutting them up to make other things. Some really nice examples of cobweb felt as well (some accidental!)

Applique Purse workshop

Purse making this evening, nice to have a class at a bit more of a relaxed pace, it's been a bit hectic the last few days! Some really lovely purses were made and everyone went away with the intention of making many more! Think I need to come up with some variations on this class as it was very successful, another one happening later in the year (6th Nov)
